We are using Issue Type Filter plugin 4.6.3, but it shows all restricted ticket types in Issue Move window. Ideally, JIRA Issue move creates a new ticket. Therefore I suggest you to add a mechanism to limit ticket type visibility in Issue move screen as well.7 votes
Issue Type Filters should also avoid to Clone an issue user would not be able to create due to filter.4 votes
Issue Type Filters must filter also when you move a ticket7 votes
The filter works great in limiting who can create different issue types. How do you limit who can edit those issue types once they are created?12 votes
Great plugin! It works very well, but there is a way to circumvent the filter.
When the user is viewing the project's Issues list, at the bottom of it there's a quick issue create area (+ Create Issue).
In this selector, the issue types are not filtered, unless the user selects the Open Create Dialog extended option (i.e. the three dots next to Cancel)

Our requirement is to hide issue types based on Projects for JIRA version 6.4.12.
As an example Test Project has 10 issue types .Now I will add the 5 new issue types to Test Project Issue type Scheme.
Now Test Project has total 15 issues.Out of 15 issue type we need to hide 10 issue types for Test Project and only 5 issue type will be visible.
So Please can you help us on this.
Awaiting for your reply.

Would your plugin work for JIRA 5.2.11 ?
This feature is amazing, I've been looking for it for years !
Thanks for your reply2 votes
Please refer to issue https://support.atlassian.com/browse/JSP-201820 for details. I have to disable the plugin in order to add fields to screens. Has this been fixed in 2.1?1 vote
The release (2.1 ) makes it possible to apply the filters when editing issues as well...
The filter works only when the user creates a issue but not work when the same user edits; he can't create but can edit the issuetype selected in the filter.
I flagged the option "Also hide when editing"1 vote
Is there possibility to prepare plugin for JIRA 4.3.4?
I can see filter works when creating an issue, but the user restricted to an Issue Type (e.g. Tasks_restricted) is still able to see all other issues (e.g. Tasks) in the project.1 vote
For this plugin (Issue Type UI Filter) to work for us it should be reversed. eg. this group A has access to "Incident" and this other group B has this other access to "Incidents" AND "Improvements". If a new issue type is created, no one will get extra access instantly.
Another proposal could be to limit it per project. eg. "bug" is available in project A but not in project B.3 votes
We have a case where the 'restricted' users can only create subtasks, not issue types. In this case the 'Create' dialogue still shows the Project & Issue Type for the project, but with N/A in the Issue Type select.
Better to not have the Project available at all.0 votes
